The Pelican Lady Strikes Again

I know it's hard to do, but look at her eyes. She is scanning the many beaks, looking for problems. Fishing line wrapped around wings or feet...fishing hooks caught wherever.

She did find one pelican with a problem. A big piece of bone stuck in its wing. Then, she tosses a handful of fish to distract the others, and grabs the problem peli right by its beak. She isolates the pelican, guards her remaining fish, takes out her needle-nose pliers...and, VOILA...the bone is removed.

She really is quite dedicated. Until I know her name, I am going to call her Penelope...my pelican princess.
