North Barriere Lake, British Columbia, Canada
Last night a violent thunderstorm crossed North Barriere Lake in British Columbia, Canada. Lightning was very close, rain poured down and wind lashed the lake. In the calm of the morning the lake looked very peaceful but one boat, ripped from its mooring, was floating aimlessly. Humidity was high, as can be seen by observing the fog lifting from the lake. We are into a hot spell of weather with temperatures in the low 30's C. The rainfall provided a temporary cooling but this afternoon heat had returned.
