Mil Homens

Weather again quite foul so the closest we got to the orienteering training event today was to plan the courses in the café with lots of coffee and Portuguese tarts. We had the maps, worked out where we would go and of course, planned perfect routes with no mistakes; we just could not face the rain to try the routes out for real.

The restaurants in Marvao are really quite mediocre. We drove back in to the valley to try out Trip Advisor recommended restaurant Mil Homens.  It was absolutely first class. Homemade cheese appetiser, their own wine, delicious tomato soup with egg and cheese, roast salt cod (Mr P had venison) followed by their own sour cherry liquor on the house. We will be giving it a 5* review on TripAdvisor too.
