#40days, INEQUALITY. According to Oxfam, there are just 62 super-wealthy people who have the same wealth as 3.5 billion, half of the world's population. 5 years ago, it was 388 people. The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer. The richest 1 percent is now wealthier than the rest of humanity combined.

“It is simply unacceptable that the poorest half of the world’s population owns no more than a few dozen super-rich people who could fit onto one bus,” Winnie Byanima, executive director of Oxfam International.
