Celebrate

#40days, CELEBRATE. Sundays are days of celebration. Since all Sundays were days to celebrate Christ's Resurrection, early Christians were forbidden to fast and do other forms of penance on those days. And so when the Church expanded the period of fasting and prayer in preparation for Easter from a few days to 40 days (to mirror Christ's fasting in the desert), Sundays were not included in the count. So that's why Lent is 46 days long. And another reason to celebrate is that our family has gathered together getting ready to fly to Barcelona tomorrow morning. Yipeeee. And it's Valentine's Day, another great reason to celebrate.
