Lindsay's lot

A morning spent up at the Park lending a helping hand with a Laura Ashley exhibit we opened this morning. 30 unusual and rare 1960's and 1970's dresses in a multitude of colours and prints that took inspiration from medieval heraldic tapestries. Winged-dog-like creatures, regal swans, Mountain lion & deer, I enjoyed poring over the fabrics enormously with Katie the collector imparting little snippets and stories. It was equally enjoyable to hear visitors recollections and exclamations of delight as they saw styles they recognised.

A mostly indoors day, I felt the need for fresh air so this evening took the familiar 10 minute walk across the fields. The sky was a picture behind my favourite gateposts.

( Exhibition all weekend at Ford Park Ulverston, and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area)
