Life from city to village

The Rowers

My original idea for this afternoon had been the sculpture Park, but we were turned away - as the car parks were full. So my eldest and I headed for Roundhay Park. The park is well used, and there are often rowers, as today. They were making some speed as well, probably spurred on by the blizzard which was being heralded by light flakes of snow as I was taking this picture. I liked the sense of speed.

There was a heron on the lake again today - but unfortunately he was too far away, and I hadn't brought the long lens or tripod.
