Lined up
I caught sight of these ducks - and I think there were other birds too, though I couldn't make them out - lined up on a tiny spit of sand to watch the sun set behind Bute this afternoon. We'd walked far further than I'd intended, and I'd taken several promising photos already, but this sunset ceremony, and the added attraction of Arran's snowy mountains beyond Rothesay, took the prize.
As it's been such a perfect day, in a chilly sort of way, I'm adding an extra photo, taken at 7.15am, of the pre-sunrise light over the Firth of Clyde.
