Cold little chickadee!

8 below and sunny this AM, my fingers were frozen and I was only out about 15 minutes at the most. I couldn't resist the little chickadee with his feathers slightly out of place from the wind and all fluffed up. There was a good crop of birds at 8 AM at the feeders but they disappeared around 9 as a juvenile Cooper's hawk was hanging around. They were all back in spades the afternoon when he left. It's the Great Backyard Birdcount weekend and I almost forgot!
