Such a sunny, frosty day could not be wasted on chores so we nipped down to Musselburgh for an afternoon stroll along the beach and back along the River.Esk.

Some thoughtful people were feeding the birds and I liked this shot of the swan in threatening mode and a ?male goosander (don't think it's a merganser) with their colourful beaks at the ready.

The extra is Fisherrow harbour, with the incoming tide just lifting the boats on their moorings.
