Chinese Lanterns

Manchester's public places still have plenty of lanterns erected to celebrate the Chinese New Year. I took several shots, including one with shadows and another with a disapproving glance.

I met my sister for a delightful lunch, in the recently reopened Corn Exchange. We chose the Indian street food restaurant Mowgli.  A good choice, for a range of delicious, mostly vegetarian and gently spicy dishes. The most amusing moment came when we ordered coffees and I asked for "the bill." The waiter asked "hot or cold?" It took us a while to work out that he though I had said "some milk."  The bill was cool.
