Sapa trekking

Sapa is in the mountains of Vietnam, very close to the Chinese boarder. Despite the bad weather we came here anyways. On arrival the fog was so thick we could only see 5m ahead of us! And it's freezing - between 10--3 degrees... I'm wearing my Canadian thermals again. We booked a trek knowing we would probably see nothing but fog but we got lucky! We walked through the valley and rice fields which was below the cloud level so we got to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The little local ladies followed us the entire trek like puppy dogs only to try an get us to buy their handmade products at the end. Cam (and the budget) wouldn't allow me to buy anything :-(. It was a great trek and we saw some breathtaking views, but would love to come back in June/July when the rice fields are lush and green!
