Snow

Madeira has serious snow today. RTP Madeira, the local television channel, showed pictures of the blocked roads above Poiso and apparently the Curral das Freitas (the Nun's Valley) was cut off. Flights aren't coming into the airport for now - apart from the odd TAP from Lisbon.

It's dramatic and different.

In between the serious downpours and the crazy winds, it's idyllic, warm and with blue skies.

Every time I set off in the sunshine I get about a hundred yards and then I'm drenched again.

Don't worry though. This won't last.

And it was time for wandering through the malls. They have gorgeous scarves etc etc.....
