A slow day; mostly with no work, no kids and she was occupied elsewhere. so....
After much messing about, I took the bike out and zigged and zagged my way from home to Portobello; stopping frequently to explore and photograph; as it got cooler, it was then time to up the pace and to Jock's Lodge for more photos (mostly research, I guess) and then through the park, up Holyrood Road / Cowgate / Grassmarket and then (broadly) followed the  canal all the way out to Ratho.

An enjoyable sprint for home (40-odd minutes) and home for a hot bath and an omelette,

Before heading into town; she'd been out for lunch with a friend; and so the pair of them were back at hers; a couple of drinks and some coronation chicken wraps before departing around 8 for a brutal ride home - so wet and windy - and the warmth of bed,
