Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

I had a very, very long day out in Bournemouth today.

I arrived at an extremely empty Waterloo station to catch the 5.30 a.m. train (yes, I know, but it was the 'cheap' train and I wanted as long as possible there!) I had a variety pack of weather! Everything apart from snow and hail, but the storm and torrential rain didn't reach Bournemouth and I have a rather beetroot face from the sun and sand everywhere! I walked a few miles from Bournemouth to Sandbanks, then back a little way to Boscombe.

Unfortunately there were no trains to Waterloo on the way back. I had a horrendous journey involving a few trains and a 10 mile mini bus ride to Southampton and finally home, rather exhausted, an hour and a half later than expected. Nevermind! I had a lovely time beach wandering!
