Strawberry Jam

This year we have been rubbish in the garden and have planted nothing.
And that which was planted in previous years has been left to battle it out with the every increasing weeds and the lousy weather.
So much to our suprise we have had a glut of strawberries, so much so that we've been eating them regularly for the last few weeks, like nearly every day.
Despite the best efforts of 4 hungry stawberry eaters (aided by the slugs, birds and rats (oh yes, rats - the man with the poison is working on that one for us),) we are unable to keep up with the supply. So we decided to make jam with the left over 4lb 3oz - and ended up with 7 1/2 jars of gloriously tasty jam!
