Two Collars And A Castle

Mum had gotten a text that my birthday presents were ready! That meant we had to go to Vadstena to pick them up, so that's what we did. And - we brought picnic!

First, we went to The Whisker. My collars were tried on, and there was lots of fussing over me and I got some of my favourite treats just for being cute! Hello? I didn't even have to sit. Feels like cheating to me. Anyway, we were both happy and had one purple and one blue collar in a bag when we left.

We went over to the 16th century castle to look for a good picnic spot. The castle itself was huge and surrounded by water with very thin ice, hence me being secured in the picture. It is one of several castles built by King Gustav Vasa still standing today. During summer, opera performances and sometimes concerts are held inside or in the courtyard.

We walked out on a pier and found a bench where we had our top notch hot food picnic. Chicken Tikka Masala. I go nuts during the minutes we have to wait for the hot water to transform the freeze dried stuff into real food. It was very nice once it was ready! On the way back we walked down Main Street, checking the windows of the bobbin lace association, for which Vadstena is widely known, and also met a friendly Tibetan Spaniel.
