Scottish Soldier

A few years ago I bought this small statue of a Scottish soldier carved from a piece of granite. A Scottish or Highland soldier I presume, though his shield looks distinctly Viking to me. The statue stands about 15 cm high.

The day has been largely sunny until mid afternoon when it began to cloud over. Despite the clear skies and sunshine I was not feeling inspired today, hence the indoor shot. I have quite a few days missing from Blip, so quite a few days to catch up on.
