Dung beetle

I spotted this chap when I was out for a walk this afternoon - he was moving to fast rolling his ball of dung to get a picture until he started digging the hole he will bury it in.   

The last few days have been exhausting with the heat and today was looking equally dreadful until mid-afternoon when it had the decency to try and rain.  It's now bucketing it down with a beautiful lightening show out of the window and thunder alongside.  Of course, the electricity has gone with the onset of rain, so the generator is not so quietly whirling away in the background.
