Cheerful
Sunday - a mixed day - Church in the morning, some work in the afternoon, and more relaxing in the evening. After a couple of days of grey, cold and windy weather, we ventured out on a short walk around the park. Today wasn't much nicer but at least it was dry.
Sometimes the daffodils are the only bright and cheerful thing to see. There are vast sways of them blooming along some of our urban roadways, and occasional smaller clumps dotted around, here and there. This small clump always seems a bit lonely and isolated in one corner of our park. Even as a small group they cheer up a dark and chilly walk, providing a hint of Spring - just around the corner! I'm ready!
They seem a bit sad this year - I can only guess that they're bowing down in response to all the buffeting they've had from the wind. This winter does seem much more windy than usual.
