Hippy market, Anjuna
DB sufficiently consolidated, we ventured north by shoogly taxi, to what was the original hippy market where 60s & 70s hippies sold craft work to fund their enlightened lifestyle. Nowadays there are few hippies remaining and the market has degenerated into yet another cheap n' cheerful tack shop. That's probably being a bit harsh, but when you have to turn to a drum vendor who has been pestering you for several minutes, and yell "I don't want a fxxxxxg drum" you may understand my sentiments.
New problem :- Heat rash, with a vengeance. I'll have to stay out of the sun for a couple of days, but that's OK as we move to Delhi tomorrow, and a "cool" 28 degC, to start our northern tour.
