Bird of paradise

Or strelizia. I grew this from seed some 30+ years ago and I've blipped it previously.

But it is still dramatic and as the plant has matured I've been getting more flower spikes - up to 6 at one time.

Glad I took this first thing as the rest of the day passed in a whirl.
