An early reflection at Lansdown Hall
I chaired the meeting of the Lansdown Hall working group this morning where we were preparing the last details of the major repairs and the new building works at the town's community venue. We needed to submit a report to a grant funding body detailing how their money had been spent. Some of it contributed to the repair of the Cotswold limestone walls and window frames and the bottom rail of this wide array of six windows is all newly carved and fitted stone. I liked the reflections of the rooftops on the opposite side of the road called Lansdown, with some smoke or possible steam rising into the air.
The meeting went well and we were able to tidy up the affairs and begin to focus on the future works which will form Phase 4 of the regeneration, which hopefully will be the final one. Certainly it will be my final involvement after six years of this very enjoyable project.
