Prickly end

While doing some housework  this I had a little mishap. I was cleaning the tiles in the kitchen and  I moved a cactus that is over 3 foot high (1.0mtr ) it then slipped and fell to the floor and the end snapped off. I did a search on the internet and it says it will survive and possibly the broken end could even start to grow so phew. The cactus is over 20 years old I remember when we lived in a flat and a neighbour once questioned what it was that was stood on the windowsill , I will leave that to you what she thought it was ;) . 
I decided to try a macro shot of the broken end as it was quite interesting as to what it looks like. Time now to relax and watch some Rugby league
