Great bonfire at the allotment

Spent a happy afternoon on the allotment clearing and digging over another patch ready for spring. The dry weather encouraged me to try and burn some of the accumulated debris from the pruning and cutting back last autumn. Once the fire was going though, anything was fair game. I had demolished a couple of old wooden containers last year and just stacked the wood up; that went on. Someone had dumped an old desk, brussel sprout stalks and all sorts of other rubbish near the sheds, that all went on too. Came home reeking of smoke but very satisfied.

A perfect antidote to a morning in front of the computer screemn. A good bit of multitasking though. I was selecting, downloading, unzipping and sorting a huge pile of resources on e-safety that took most of the morning but I also did a considerable amount of personal research as well and made a few Paul Hollywood teacakes too.
