Big Brazilian Butterfly (... well ... Moth)

A day at sea, traveling between Rio Grande do Sul and Porto Belo, Brazil.

Today at lunch, we sat outside on the stern, and noticed this beautiful big moth resting.  He certainly doesn't look like he belongs out to sea ... surely he would be more comfortable on the forest floor?  He has very beautiful markings that look like he is made from wood.  Also, as a rather sinister backdrop, notice a number of mosquitos ... no doubt carrying the infamous Zika virus ...
