Blowholes

It has been a lazy relaxing day, due to the rain that has fallen most of the day. It did briefly clear up, so we took the opportunity to go into the Punakaiki township and went for a walk to the Pancake Rock blowholes. The tide was just turning, on its way out again, and we thought with the wet weather there may have been some action with the blowholes. But no. There was zilch. It was a nice walk all the same. So instead I took some photos of the layered rocks, looking towards the south.

After returning to the caravan, Farmerboy and son T are spending the afternoon on their second game of scrabble, while I've been reading. A lovely way to spend a wet afternoon.
