The lone surfer

After all the rain yesterday, it was typical that we woke this morning to the sun shining, when we had to pack up and go home.  We headed off about mid morning, and headed into Westport, to do some grocery shopping.  It was such a nice day, we decided to go to Carters Beach for lunch, so parked the van along by the sea front, ate our lunch, had a short snooze, and then headed out onto the beach.  I captured this lone surfer walking back to where he had started.  He was a learner surfer, enjoying being out in the sea, and endeavouring to get up on his board when the right wave came along.  And he didn't do too bad!

We arrived back home around 3pm, unpacked the groceries and the van and did the washing, which I'm pleased to say has been on the line, dried and is now all folded inside.

That weekend went fast.
