Kettles Hill Fort
Very good to be home early enough for a walk in full daylight with MrM and Louie this afternoon. Up on to the heathland near Wooler Common to Kettles Hill Fort, also known as Maiden Castle or Greenside. It's an Iron-Age fort on a natural ridge, protected on three sides by steep slopes.
Back to the flat for a quick meal before setting off to Cornhill, where MrM was playing in a pub with the jazz band. Lots of people there to listen, including several friends - a pleasant evening.
