Ding dong!

Another day of doing very little, despite good intentions!

We had intended to go for a walk this afternoon to inspect the squirrel feeders near the Common, and then go back home to tackle some chores and cook dinner. But the walk was cut short due to high winds and torrential rain. Soaked walking a few hundred yards with Louie.

Called in at O & V's on the way back to pick up a set of pipes for repair and, despite the fact that we all had things to do, ended up staying for coffee and a chat. And then a look round O's studio and at some of the artwork for a book she's illustrating. Fabulous pictures - amazing!

Home too late to cook dinner, so we walked down to a local pub for a meal. Lots of these bells at the top of the wall in reception - presumably harking back to the days when it was a coaching inn.
