Bird Of Paradise Flower

We've had a very hot day again today which quickly rose to 38c by11am whew!!!

By later this afternoon it had cooled off a bit and there was a weak sea breeze. I dropped J off early and walked for a while through the gardens around the Crown Casino where there were lots of weddings and quite a few picknicking under the trees, a lovely spot!

I caught the sun shining through the orange petals of the bird of paradise flower.

My extra is just a sucker fish tasting the glass in the big tank at the markets. When I changed it into mono and turned him upside down he looked exactly like an alien!! Woooo scary!! ;o))
