dead tree

glorious day and so tried to make the most of it whilst Mr Rat was away running in the National Cross Country.
parkrun (47 secs faster than last week though better conditions), café and chat, some gardening at church and an afternoon jaunt in the Sidlaws. It was a bit cloudy at times but the hills to the north were bathed in sunshine. I'd chosen a different route which involved deep heather and felled trees so was hard going (last time I was round that bit it was deep snow and I was using snowshoes) but worth it for the views.
The extras give some idea of the view.
When I'd got to the church earlier the fire alarm was sounding, though no sign of a fire. I hadn't a clue how to turn it off but fortunately managed to contact Mr Rat (good job he wasn't driving) for instructions.
