Hardy Souls

I am constantly impressed by the range of sports that are practised in the Engadine and all are enthusiastically pursued. However, on our way towards the Malloja Pass and Italy we stopped by Laj Sils to observe this group preparing to go scuba diving underneath the ice. Brr! First they cut a hole using the biggest chain saw that I have ever seen and then they prepare a rope line so that they can find their way back to the hole after their dive. That's dedication to one's chosen sport!
