Birthday Rose

For her birthday last Thursday wife received a bouquet by post from a former student of hers. This student went through a very bad patch and needed considerable support over a period of a couple of years. She still refers to wife as her “second mother”. She’s now in her mid-twenties, has a good career and is quite delightful. As an extra I have a daffodil that our five year old granddaughter decided to pick in the garden (in spite of instructions to the contrary).
