My alternative diary

Mono Monday

It’s been a mad day today. Leave home to pick grandchildren up for school and deposit twins at one school at 8.30 and grandson at his school (5miles away) at 8.45. Back home for breakfast. Phone calls, roofer to view a problem we have with ridge tiles, emails and a bit of blip to blip time. Dismantle compost bin that had rats lodging that were treated by the Rat Man a few weeks ago. As we got to the bottom we discovered one large brown rat very much deceased. We sorted the compost to make sure no rat poison pellets were present – we found a few and they were disposed of with the rat.

Lunch and a bit of tele and then it was time to do the afternoon school run (collection). Whilst walking to the twin’s school I came across a Japanese quince which was crying out to be captured. So my contribution to mono monday is the quince converted to mono. Just so you can see the lovely colour of this bloom I’m posting a colour version in extra.
