I decided to break up my journey to Coniston by visiting the RSPB nature reserve at Leighton Moss in Lancashire... you can have too much of the M6 you know!

It's a great place, and I especially enjoyed watching the birds on the feeders, including a Greater Spotted Woodpecker.  Two extras.
