Day 59 of 366 - St Mary the Virgin Church!
Today's image was taken this morning in the village of Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. The view is of the parish Church of St Mary the Virgin. The church is situated near to the River Sowe. It was originally of Norman design and dates back to about the first half of the 12th century. The church which is mainly built of red sandstone, has seen many repairs and additions over the the years. The South Aisle is one such example, it was added to the church during the 14th Century. It is thought that the Font may even predate the Norman church. It dates back to either the late 11th or early 12th Century. It is said to have been brought over to the church from Maxstoke Priory.
The photo was taken using the App VividHDR on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Lightroom to edit the image. I Straightened and cropped the picture. I then changed the white balance and applied a little Clarity, noise reduction and warmth to it. I then used DistressedFX to apply the Egret overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used the app AltPhoto to add the Portrait Colour Film preset and frame.
