Meadow Brown

Today I struggled to find much of interest for a blip. I took a lunchtime walk in Lickey Woods, but everything was looking extremely washed out and forlorn. I tried again with an early evening walk on the Clent Hills, but by then dark rain clouds had gathered and there was nothing much to photograph in the rain.

In the end I have settled for this Meadow Brown butterfly that I spotted on my earlier walk in a very boggy buttercup meadow on the edge of Lickey Woods.
