A bath in the pollen
Today I could enjoy a warm spring sunshine and so did some flies and bees, humming around the snowdrops, enjoying the bath in the pollen.
They were still tired and slowly. This fly tried to remove some of the pollen. You can see them flying around :-D
Thank you Lizellen for hosting TinyTuesday in March!
In the evening I had the pleasure to visit a concert of Konstantin Wecker .
He his my favourite songwriter since 33 years and you can be sure that wasn't my first (oh no :-D) or last (sure) concert.
I doubt that he is well known outside of Germany.
Here is a link to one of my favourite songs: "Sag Nein!" "Say No!"
He played this song yesterday as well, and badly it is more actuelly than ever :-(
I found an English translation of the lyrics:
When they quite unashamedly
Yell Nazi songs again,
Make jokes about Jews,
Laugh about human rights
When they drunkenly indulge their stupidity
Because the Germans behind the bar
Have to put the world to rights
Then stand up and intervene:
SAY NO!
Most of the time a Mr. Important
Will correct the story again,
Drivel on about the Auschwitz lie
Unfortunately, it's known only too well
Be strong and get involved
Show this stupid pig
SAY NO!
Whether as tramp or singer
Banker or bummer
Whether as pupil or teacher
Housewife or street sweeper
Whether you are six or hundred
Don't just be shocked, suprised
Rage, be angry and get involved
SAY NO!
And when stuck-up men
Chivalrously block your way
Slurring, their gaze
Just falls to your cleavage
When they boast about the old things
Which they keep at home
Their wife is only good for staying at home and cooking
Don't join the club:
SAY NO!
And if, at your school, people
Suddenly slag off gays
Make black children feel
How they hate other races
Teachers, instead of correcting,
Turn Germany brown again
Don't be afraid to shout:
SAY NO!
Whether as tramp or singer
Banker or bummer
Whether as pupil or teacher
Housewife or street sweeper
Whether you are six or hundred
Don't just be shocked, suprised
Rage, be angry and get involved
SAY NO!
Edit: The quote "Stand up and intervene:
SAY NO!" is on my placard against the upcoming fascism in the meantime
