Our road trip yesterday ended in Ollantaytambo, a small town which is a common starting point for the Inca Trail. On the edge of the town are many agricultural terraces which were built by the Incas along with many storehouses and the part built temple at the top of the hill.
I'd looked at the hill as we sat having coffee in the plaza last night & had decided I wasn't climbing to the top, however, as we broke our journey up to stop & talk about the history of the site, getting to the top proved easier than I thought. I was then rewarded with this view before we ventured across to explore the storehouse on the other side of the terrace before heading back down the other side of the hill.
