Last Call

In the evening we visited the opening night of Vesa Toukomaa's exhibition "Last Call" in the art gallery Kapriisi. All works are from his comics book called Spongeman. Couple large prints were taped on the floor, that was something new.

Vesa Toukomaa's Spongeman is absorbing influence from the tradition of the European graphic novel, soaping up with the cult of American comic book superheroes, then coming clean in the sewers of the surreal Roman underworld. And in that world only the dense can survive while the porous will perish.


We'll get Emma home tomorrow evening, can't wait!
