Life through the lens...

Fishy

Well we managed to get our turbot, but with so many fish to choose from it was a difficult decision.
Nearly went for the catch of the day ,
6 lemon soles for a fiver.
However as turbot is MrC's favourite, and we are on holiday, I bought a whole one. ( slightly more expensive!)

The day started fine, with some sunshine, and felt quite mild as the wind has dropped.
First stop Porthleven to book into our favourite little cafe, for tomorrow evening.
We were lucky as they had just had a cancellation, and so could fit us in.

Next stop Newlyn for the fish.
Stevenson's fish shop is on the quayside, so the fish couldn't be fresher.
Had a nice look round the harbour. I love looking at the fishing boats. Watching the men mending nets etc. Such a hive of activity.

Then to Mousehole. Still stayed fine for another walk round. Most galleries closed as the season hasn't started yet. Did find one open, and made a purchase.
Lunch was at a little deli / cafe over looking the harbour, and the best fish stew I have ever tasted.
Now it had started drizzling, and so we decided to come back "home" .
Looking forward to tonight's meal!!
