Exe River reflections
One of our worst journeys ever, but after all that rain we eventually arrived at Topsham and it cleared up.
However we had just set out to walk to Bowling Green hide along the river Clyst, and it started to rain again.
Fortunately the hide is nice and cosy and the amount of birds were worth the walk.
I have made a collage of a few, and put it on as an extra.
Teal
widgeon
Bartailed Godwits
Black tailed Godwits
Curlew
Shovelers
Red shanks
Coots
Moorhens
Lapwings
Robin
Blackbird
Greenfinch
Blue tits
Great tits
Shell ducks
Avocets
And may be some I have forgotten.
It cleared up for our walk back, and the sun came out for a few minutes just in time for me to take this photo.
After an evening meal at a local pub.
(My favourite, Exmouth mussels and chips. )
We are now relaxing in our room at the Premier Inn Exmouth.
As we are old customers ( stayed last year) we have been given one of their best rooms, No 226, with a fabulous round window overlooking the sea. Hope we can enjoy a morning cuppa looking out tomorrow morning.
Sorry for lack of comments at the moment.
To tired!
Will catch up later.
