Moronic!
Can you believe the stupidity of the wording on the packaging for this new iron? For the ultimate ironing comfort!! who is comfortable when ironing?. It's a ridiculous , tedious occupation only to be undertaken when you have nothing even remotely presentable to wear. Imagine having ironed so many items you've worn one out and need to buy a new one? I'm deeply ashamed! Bit of a quieter day on Le Tour. Still in the high alps but after the killer stage yesterday people needed to recuperate. Sky kept the peloton tight and controlled but let a five man break escape early in the day. All the riders in the small group were at least half an hour down on general classification and therefore were no threat to the leaders. They stayed away all day and Scotland's David Miller got the stags win to his absolute joy. It means that all four of Great Britain's road race team for the Olympics have now had a stage win on this years tour. Can't tell you non cyclists how significant this is. It's almost unbelievable!! But it's happening!!!!! I was asked by a fellow blipper on day one what I felt about the doping in the race. Cycling got its act together a few years ago and bar the odd idiot is now drug free. Its going to be fascinating though to see what the American Cycling Association have on LanceArmstrong. They seem pretty certain they've got him this time but we've been here before I've always taken the riders at face value and then damned them with hindsight when they've been caught. It's such a magnificent difficult ,strength and will sapping event that I think too much was expected of the men. Once one took drugs the others to stand a chance had to follow. That stopped once the sponsors started withdrawing teams and money and people like Boardman started winning stages and were patently clean. David Miller was a drug cheat but after serving his ban fought his way back and has year after year loyally acted as a superb domestic to his team leaders. He is evangelical against drug use and has ultimately done more good than harm. There doesn't seem to be anyone in cycling who doesn't think he should be in the Olympics. I still rdmember when it came out he had been doping i was crying my eyes out i was so disappointed. They really do need to remember they are role models for so many people. His tragedy is that had he not taken drugs and been banned for his peak years he would probably been a winner of many more stages and the king of the mountain jersey anyway.C'est la vie.saturday is a flatter ride so the poor sprinters having dragged their bodies over the Alps will be on show again racing for the sprint finish. Love love love this Tour .
