Charolais X

The animals appeared very calm this afternoon after the upheaval of the second part of the TB test yesterday.  This steer is a Charolais X and is nearly two years old.  Afraid to say, he wont be with us much longer but then we cant keep all the livestock as pets.  He has had a good life out at pasture during the summer months and wintering in the dry with his mates with his food put in front of him.

The agronomist checked our arable fields this morning and T is now calving down another cow, we just hope all is well as we have had some difficult calvings lately.

N's birthday today and we are all going out to celebrate tomorrow night, including the meal for Mothering Sunday - the pubs will get full to bursting the day after tomorrow.
