extending Dartmoor into the town
Karen had booked a service for her electric bike at a cycle shop in Okehampton, a neighbouring town on the edge of Dartmoor about 15 miles away. The bike weighs a ton and has no crossbar so can't be carried on the bike rack. So we had to fold the rear seats of the car down and manhandle the bike into the back of the car. Part of a wheel remained outside so we had to tie the rear door of the car down. Came across this mural of a Dartmoor scene on the end of a very unassuming house at a busy crossroads in the middle of Okehampton! I like the old English sheepdog, bottom right and the rustic farm gate and the heather and grasses and the drystone wall . Really well done. Extra pic is of the attractive and thatched Bearslake Inn which we just had to visit on the way back home.
