Snow

With a forecast for snow this morning I had set my alarm early - although I had no need to as a text message arrived from a friend shortly after 6 am to alert me to the winter wonderland outside. I had a feeling it wasn't going to last long so I set off on a little expedition before going to work. It's great to have enough light in the morning to be able to do that now. 

During the day the temperature rose and the snow rapidly turned to rain in the air and slush on the ground. I'm certainly glad I got out when I did. Tonight I've been entertaining No.1 son and his delightful girlfriend, meeting her for the very first time. It's been a lot of fun!
