Life through the lens...

Whooper

Helston lake this morning.
Cool wind, but sunny, as the clouds scuttled across the sky.
Amongst all the gulls, swans, geese and ducks , being fed by the children,we spotted this one which was different.
It is a long time since I saw a Whooper swan. It was keeping it's distance from the other birds, and had a more graceful, and coy look.
It had to be my blip for today.

We had gone there to have a look round the Farmer's Market, which we had seen advertised. Not really expecting much, it was a joy to see so many stalls. All local Artisan producers.
Among them about 4 different farms making their own cheese. All different.
Three bread makers. We bought some Focaccia with Herbs, Red Onion, and Cornish Sea Salt, from Hope's Bread. They had 25 different breads on display. Smelt wonderful! ( see extra photo)
Also bought some cumberland sausages with sage from a local farm who rear Cumberland Old Spot pigs.

We came back along the cliff top road which is where I took the photo of the sheep grazing on the cliff top, in site of the old tin mines. ( see extra)

A quick change and then out for lunch with our friends who live in Porthleven. Another good meal at The Falmouth Packet.
They came back for coffee and biscuits. After a lot of chatting and laughter, they have just left.
Their granddaughter has gone into labour, and they are expecting a great granddaughter any time now!

C. has just been round and brought us a homemade cream tea!
Not sure where I am going to put it! Definitely eating too much!

Many thanks for all your comments, stars and hearts  for yesterday, which are very much appreciated.
