1 day 12 pics
I have had a great day! You can follow it with my 12 picts taken at roughly 1 hour intervals during the day!
I woke up and still a bit sleepy chose the silhouette of the key! Then looked out of the window later to see bright sun and blue skies; prepared the Turkey and then the fruit salad. Waiting for the kids to turn up, I photographed a cactus like plant on the kitchen windowsill. Then we have my eldest granddaughter's socks. After lunch we - the ladies - went for a walk, the men watched football! Grandbaby's pram and the blue abstract which is a close up of a broken sign.
My mother's day presents from eldest granddaughter and daughter are next. Ro was given some beer and a wonderful card scrawled on by grandbaby for his birthday which is on Monday. She was adamant it was her card and clung to it for dear life!!
My Eldest granddaughter had brought her lighting etc and is making a video about the Hillsborough disaster. She used Ro as one of her subjects and even asked me what it was like waiting for news at home. Answers on video or as sound bites to be edited by her. I am looking forward to seeing the end product! Here you can see her diffuser.(umbrella). Next chocolate cake and a cup of tea before they all left and by then, yes, you've guessed, it was raining!
One of the things this 12 a day exercise has taught me is the use of Manual and I have found out that on my Canon Powershot G16 in Manual the screen shows exactly what the camera is going to take. So it is fairly easy to lighten or darken the shot using ISO, aperture and/or speed. It's just a question of working out which to use. Most of these pictures have been cropped as I wanted square format but very little was done to improve the light!
Eldest granddaughter helped me to create this grid in the Lightroom print module. It was great working with her!
