Sapa trek

Today we went on a long trek up and down the mountains in Sapa. When we reached the top we couldn't stop taking photos- everywhere you looked there were mountains and sloping rice paddies, we were also joined by water buffaloes, pigs and goats. However the path was very muddy and slippy- the villagers followed us for the first 3 hours to help us up and down the hills (although they do this every day to get tips). Here is a photo of some bamboo water wheels. They use this mechanism as a power source for irrigation, we thought it was pretty cool!
